It’s no secret that since Leah Remini left the Church of Scientology in 2013, she’s been extremely outspoken about their unconventional practices.
And ahead of the release of her new book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, the 45-year-old actress is opening up about her time as a well-known member of the religion, including her interactions with famous scientologist Tom Cruise.

The New York Daily News reports that one story discusses an incident involving Tom and then-wife Katie Holmes‘ daughter Suri Cruise, who was just seven-months-old at the time.

Leah writes that she was shocked when the infant began crying in the middle of a pre-wedding party for the couple, and no one did anything to calm her down.
When the King of Queens star eventually went looking for the child, she found her on a bathroom floor surrounded by three women who were just standing over her and staring.

Another story details a particularly uncomfortable car ride with Tom’s adopted children Bella and Connor.
When asked if they see mom Nicole Kidman often, Bella, who is now 22, allegedly replied, “Not if I have a choice. Our mom is a f—ing SP.” In Scientology, SP stands for “Suppressive Person” or someone who questions the church’s beliefs.
